This is a wonderful tour of central Ottawa, from the downtown corridor all the way to the forks of the river and canal. There are a ton of great viewpoints and historic sites to see along this route, with impressive bridges from the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries being most notable. While there are multiple starting locations that have been mapped as Waypoints in the route map, the trailhead for this loop officially starts at the Centennial Flame on Parliament Hill. Folks recommend walking this loop clockwise, so you can take the trail along the backside of Parliament, near the Library of Parliament, to see the amazing views of the region from the hill.
