This is a wonderful tour of central Ottawa, from the downtown corridor all the way to the forks of the river and canal. There are a ton of great viewpoints and historic sites to see along this route, with impressive bridges from the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries being most notable. This is a skating route includes multiple warming shelters at the starting point and throughout the Rideau Canal, along with restaurants and cafés open seasonally on this ice.
