An excursion with very beautiful views with a great variety of environments and lots of berries along the path. The route is quite challenging, it starts from the Ninfa Refuge (1545m) and proceeds almost completely in the sun, except for the final part along path 445. The itinerary runs in a counter-clockwise loop and passes through the Pian Cavallaro Refuge (1880m) and then reach the top of Monte Cimoncino (2165m). On the way back you will also pass by the beautiful Doccione waterfalls...

Monte Cimone, 2165 meters high and formerly called Alpe de Nona is the highest peak of the Apennines in Emilia-Romagna on the border between Tuscany and Emilia. The path begins at the Lago della Ninfa at the Rifugio Ninfa. Halfway through the route is the Pian Cavallaro Refuge (1880m) where hikers can take a break. In this area there are herds of wild horses, marmots and even flocks of sheep due to the presence of many shepherds in the summer.

A simple round trip variation of the classic and easy itinerary that from Bellagamba leads to the Open Book with which it shares the route up to the Verginette, where it meets the cross-country track coming from Abetone. From the Verginette the easy slopes of Monte Maiore (1561m) go up almost to the ridge, from where, with a long traverse, it reaches the upper part of the gully that separates the two peaks of the Open Book.

An excursion across the ancient bridges over the Scoltenna river. Departure from Pievepelago, in a parking lot where it is possible to leave the car. The route runs in a clockwise loop. Cross the Saltenna river towards Pezzuole, passing the Ponte della Fola. Continue along the route passing by Casa Manzi, the church of San Michele and finally arrived in Castellaccia, continue towards the Devil's Bridge. From here you return along the path to return to the starting point.
