From Usseaux the route follows a road to the little lake of Laux. Keeping to the right of the stream, the trail leads to the Albergian pass. It then heads down to the waterfalls at Pis, and on to the village of Clot del Mian. It crosses the river and heads on to the village of Balsiglia. Climb on little asphalt, comfortable dirt road (unfortunately trafficked by motorbikes and off-road cars in particular) then last stretch on perfect military road. Technical descent but never to the limit, with some non-cycle sections, a 50m ascent to the Gran.Cerogne. and then descent on a grassy ridge and paths.
