The trail begins in the center of Zermatt, which is also easily accessible by public transport. Then it goes into the forest. After just one kilometer you will pass the wonderful Findelenbach viaduct. Lined with great impressions, it then goes steadily up to the Sunnegga hill. Finally, you hike down again on forest paths.

The Fluhalp mountain restaurant is located in the Sunnegga-Blauherd-Rothorn skiing and hiking area. It lies at an altitude of 2606 meters. After a beautiful walk that leads past three small mountain lakes, hikers can feast on the terrace and enjoy the view of the majestic Matterhorn. As an alternative, it is possible to shorten this route by using the Sunneggabahn. This lake is located at 2232 meters above sea level and is a very popular destination for swimming and has barbecue areas and a children's playground. The path continues to the Mosjesee, which is also called Moosjisee. This is an artificial lake.
