This scenic route will take you along the Mexico-Pachuca highway passing through Ecatepec de Morelos and continuing until you reach the Teotihuacan archaeological zone. Here you can walk among the impressive pyramids as the Aztecs did 600 years ago. This remarkable area was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. It would be a good getaway for a day visiting CDMX. You can hire a guide at the site of the pyramids or explore on your own.
