The complete route of this bike tour is as follows : Appenzell - Weissbad - Schwägalp - Risipass - Stein - Starkenbach - Vordere Höhi - Amden - Weesen - Ziegelbrücke

From Appenzell the path goes up to the Alp Wasserschaffen. After reaching the Kronberg ridge and enjoying the view, it goes through the alpine landscape down to Schwägalp, which is also the valley station of the Säntis cable car. This circular route starts at the train station in Appenzell and leads along the river Sitter to Weissbad. At the beginning you take a few steps through the center of Appenzell before continuing on small paths. This trail can be a bit muddy after a few bad weather days. You pass typical agricultural areas in the region with beautiful parts in the forest.

This route starts in Appenzell at the train station before it directly leads into the terrain. You will pass the Vordere and Hintere Wasserschaffen hills, the Kronberg peak and the mountain station of the Kronberg cable car. On the way to Jakobsbad, you will also pass Camping Jakobsbad, where you can take a break or spend the night, or you can continue to the train station in Jakobsbad. The trail begins in Appenzell at the train station and invites you to explore the area all the way to Schlatt. You come across the cultural landscape and then after a few kilometers and partly paved roads you reach your destination. You can also enjoy and set off with children or for a walk with the dog.
