This stage of Saint-Jacques travels between forests and pastures. The walker truly enters the Basque Country: unlike the Béarn of the previous stages, the dwellings and farms are scattered throughout the territory. The stage ends in Ostabat, a village famous because it is the point of convergence of the Puy, Tours and Vézelay routes.

The second half of the route is done on the plain near the Gave in the fields of kiwis, corn and return by the green way, the old railway line from Puyoô to Saint Palais. Have a good hike.
