This lovely trail takes you along a stunning coastline on a clifftop path with beautiful views of sweeping strands and endless sea. The walk is waymarked with directional markers and stiles are in place to assist the crossing of walls and fences. The path is uneven and rocky in places so be mindful of wet weather and wear proper shoes. The scenery is incredible throughout and the views include Donegal Bay, Slieve League, St. John's Point, and Mullaghmore.

This walk starts and ends at the Smuggler’s Creek Inn, nestled on the cliffs overlooking Donegal Bay and the Blue Stack Mountains in South Donegal. It dates back to the early 1900s. This is a beautiful stretch of sandy beach with a forest on one side, and coastal views on the other. This is a seaside walk so make sure to pay special attention to the tide times before setting out. This route is relatively flat and suitable for a wide range of ages and fitness levels. There is also a wheelchair-friendly wooden walkway to get to the sea from the car park.
