Departing from Montigny-en-Morvan, this route passes through the village of Chassy and its castle, then continues near the Petit Lac and the Pannecière reservoir. The Pannecière lake-reservoir is the oldest and smallest of the great lakes of the Seine.

The route goes through the Crot aux Rats, the Gallo-Roman Theater of Bardiaux, the Grande Echeintre, the Bois Boulard, and goes around the Pannecière Reservoir. The Yonne and Oussière rivers form this reservoir.
