This walk follows the Dutch-German border across vast fields and through a forest. From Nieuwstadt you walk to Schalbruch in Germany, both old places. From Voorst the path leads through a swamp forest and past Kitschbach. From afar you can see the Martinuskerk van Vlodrop towering over the landscape. The walk ends at a statue of Gerard Krekelberg, the writer of the Limburg national anthem.

Unofficial mountain bike route running from Susteren to Beegderheide, north of Heel. It is a challenging and varied route, where you drive through countless different landscapes. From farm fields to forests, the vast moors and countless rivers and lakes. You pass the Maas and the Afsluit Maas, where an impressive network of waters has formed. You will pass polder lakes, canals and waterworks. You will also pass several villages along the way where you can take a break.

Cycle route from Susteren through forests, along lakes, across the German border and back through the Meinweg National Park. It is a tough trip, where you make a big climb up the hill in Germany. The cycle route runs almost entirely via cycle junctions and entirely on good cycle paths. You can do this route on any kind of bicycle, it is especially a good route for cyclists.

A beautiful trail, which is entirely devoted to the river Maas, which is the border river between the Netherlands and Belgium along its entire length. This segment runs between Grevenbicht and Smeermaas. Just before you walk along the Maas in Grevenbicht, you pass the statue of Chel Savelkoul. He was the troubadour of Grevenbicht and, as a boy, was one of the founders of Toon Hermans' cabaret. The route to Obbicht runs along a beautiful dike.
