This pleasant and easy trail begins at John Long's Pub and is marked with green arrows on a white background. This route offers scenic views throughout and is suitable for a wide range of fitness levels. The trail passes by a deserted village and pre-historic tomb that can be visited if one is not shy of adding an extra 500-700m along the way. Take care along road sections and at road crossings on this trail. Enjoy the rolling green fields and scenic countryside.

This is a well signposted beautiful countryside loop that offers fantastic views over Carlingford Lough on a clear day. It's an easy-going route that is suitable for most abilities, so a wonderful opportunity to get outdoors and back out into the peaceful realm of nature. You can enjoy some refreshments in John Long's Pub after your walk.

The Táin Way follows the ancient trail as written about in the famous saga Táin Bó Cúalinge and takes in part of the legendary march of Queen Maebh. This trail can be broken into three shorter stages starting and ending at Carlingford, Ravensdale, or Omeath. This route may not be well signposted so downloading the offline map before setting out is advised. There is a significant amount of elevation gain so make sure to come prepared with proper gear and plenty of water.
