Auckland Country Cottages

This track will take you alongside the Wairoa River in Hunua Ranges Regional Park near Auckland. It's a relatively short walk with nice views along the way, but be prepared for steep sections with overgrown parts and uneven terrain.This track can be started at either end. Access is available from either from Cossey Access Road or from McNicol Road. A carpark is located at the both ends of the track.

This road provides an alternative access to Cossey Reservoir located near Hunua Falls in the Auckland region. It's a relatively short climb leading through the bush with beautiful views at the end. Please note that this is a shared path used by cyclist, runners, and walkers. A carpark is located at the trailhead.

It is a lovely short family-friendly walk to a beautiful 30 meters high horsetail waterfall on the Wairoa River. There are nice picnic spots and views of the waterfall along the way. A carpark with public toilets is located at the trailhead. Swimming at the falls and river crossing is not recommended.
