This trail is intended to be multi-use and is shared by mountain bikers and hikers. For those who wish to extend their hike, there are many other trail connections in the park.

This scenic trail leads to the Frog Pond and returns along a short loop. This is one of the easiest trails in the park which features shade and lots of wildflowers. The pond makes for a great little swimming spot that the whole family can enjoy. There are many other trails in the park for those wishing to extend their route.

During the summer months, it is best to start this hike in the early morning when the sun is not directly overhead. There is not much shade along this path, which is mainly comprised of rocks and sand. Great views are located along the west side of the trail, and there are many chances to spot wildlife. Dogs are allowed only on this trail loop and not on the rock dome itself.
