This route corresponds to the 2009 Conchucos Expedition event. The return to Callejón de Conchucos I went through the towns of Catac, Chavín, Huantar, Huari, Huachucocha dairy farm, San Luis, Chacas, Yanama, Portachuelo pass, Yanganuco lagoon, Yungay, Carhuaz and Huaraz.
