Well marked loop trail in a beautiful forest with views of huge boulders and rock faces. Extremely popular with rock climbers between October and April. Parking lot is often overflowing on weekends during climbing season. The state park is working on a parking lot expansion that will more than double the parking. This is currently the only trail in this area of the Chimney Rock State Park, but more trails are planned.

The park is open daily from 8:30am - 5:30pm. This route features a tough interval hike. There is a small parking area so, if the lot is full, park along the road.
