The Niagara Parkway Recreation Trail is the main path used for 90% of the journey which makes for a safe and comfortable ride. This trail is very rocky, uneven and has steep climbs! Access along the parkway, across from the golf course. The markings are there and clear for most of the route, but they do disappear at times. Hikers recommend following the offline maps and wearing proper footwear. Ropes are provided to aid in steep section as you descend the Whirlpool Rapids.

This is an easy paved trail that starts at the Niagara Glen trailhead and will take advantage of the gorge-side Niagara Recreation Trail. This section passes the massive and historical hydropower plants next to the river and gorge, and loops around the Floral Clock, one of the best warm-weather points of interest. This trail is very busy between spring and fall and will be busy on weekends all winter long. Folks recommend arriving early if you require long-term parking.
