You do have to pay to park if you ride a motorbike here. Pay to park near the entrance where you buy your ticket. The climb up is mostly stairs.

Ho Chi Minh visited this area in1962 and enjoyed it so much that he wanted to protect it. The national parks in Vietnam are meanwhile prohibited hunting area, but for many species it is already too late. Many animals have since been completely eradicated. It rains here 200 days a year, resulting in an almost impenetrable jungle. The tallest trees reach up to 70 meters high: impressive. You also see a thousand-year-old tree.

Beginning from Bản Đôn, passing the Pu Luong Treehouse and starting from the end of the path along the rice paddies, this trail goes across the ridge and though the jungle where you can look across to the limestone mountains across the valley. The trail descends to Bản Ưi, where you can then follow the road up to Bản Quan where the trail ascends into the hilly jungle again, with a steep incline before returning the terraced fields of Bản Đôn.
