This gentle hike through a valley in the hills south of Puerto Vallarta begins in the chapel of the small town of El Nogalito. You follow the paved road leading east out of town before branching off onto an old dirt road. It follows a beautiful creek upstream into the hills before turning around and heading back to town. This leisurely hike is a refreshing opportunity to enjoy the green forest and spot wildlife.

The beach has parking and pedestrian access, including a ramp for people with disabilities. There are also restrooms and showers. There are street vendors selling food and drinks, but don't forget to bring sun protection.

To start this fun route, you walk down the road from the beach through El Nogalito, a quaint little neighborhood dotted with modest houses. Once through the village, you will turn left onto a gravel road and cross the river. You come across a restaurant/zip line business at the end of this gravel road.
