This route between vineyard and forest starts from the medieval city of Saint-Hippolyte. The path leads you to the Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg. Built on a rocky outcrop, you will have a beautiful panorama over the village, the Alsace plain and the Black Forest. The Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg is an Alsatian fortress from the 12th century, it underwent modifications in the 15th century before being restored under William II.

This hike is located in the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park, to the south-west of Sélestat and begins in Saint-Hippolyte. The route passes by, among other things, the Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows, along the Public Garden, before taking the Binnweg. The route continues via Rorschwihr and Bergheim, before returning to the starting point.
