Villa Yoda

The second part of the coastal path offers you magnificent panoramas from the port of Ciboure to that of Hendaye. The route runs along a narrow ledge between road and cliff. Once you have crossed the preserved Abbadia estate, it ends alongside the beautiful Hendaye beach and the bay of Txingudi. Buses or trains are available if necessary to make the return trip.

The start of this route is at Saint-Jean-de-Luz station in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department. A very nice walk along the Nivelle. You can enjoy the wooded promenade and the fishing boats. The Nivelle golf course is on the opposite bank and the Rhune in the background. In short, a dream point of view. Also take advantage of the four sports equipment stations and the playground.

This beautiful cycle route starting from Saint-Jean-de-Luz on the Basque coast in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques takes you to Ascain. The route leads you to discover the valley of La Nivelle between groves and meadows. The road then takes the direction of Olhette before returning to Saint-Jean-de-Luz via the Route d'Olhette.

A good climb at the exit of Saint-Jean-de-Luz allows you to reach the residential district of Sainte-Barbe. At high speed, we then descend to Erromardie beach, the first cove where swimming is offered to the provident cyclist (bring your swimsuit and towel!). Then come the beaches of Lafitenia and Cenitz, which means that there are many opportunities for a dip. Finally, the port and the village of Guéthary add a picturesque note to this stage.

This delightful loop allows an incursion into the lands of the Basque Country by beautiful hilly roads. It crosses typical villages, lakes and even crosses passes, modest, but full of charm. It is a tour between sea and mountain, rich in history, ideal for a morning exercise.
