This route starts from the town of San Antonio del Tequendama and goes to Boca del Monte through the Chicaque Natural Park. Following this route, the park is accessed on its southwest side and ends at the official entrance area. It is an interesting alternative and a different way to visit the park. You can shorten the road by bicycle or car.

The El Roquedal trail is one of the circuits within the Chicaque Natural Park. It requires more skill than other trails within the park and leads to and from Pico del Águila, a rock formation of a striking black color (due to the concentration of carbon in the rocks) that forms a natural viewpoint located at approximately 2,290 masl (7,500 feet). Chicaque Park is a beautiful nature conservation area that has various scenic trails through the cloud forest that can be traveled hiking or horseback riding. It is located about 30 minutes from the city of Bogotá. This route visits the main circuit, following an Antiguo Camino Real trail and then the waterfall trail. You can easily connect with other popular trails such as Bosque de Robles and El Roquedal.
