A beautiful route that leads through the town of Sacile, which at the time of the Republic of Venice was also called "the Garden of the Serenissima". It was in fact connected to the Venetian Lagoon with the Livenza river, navigable at the time with a system of Vincian gates. The town is a jewel on the border with the Veneto and has a touch of Venice thanks to the canals and buildings that overlook it.
Activities
Features
Challenging ring route but well marked and differentiated in the countryside at zero altitude between asphalt, dirt road and private meadows. Points where the springs are well appreciated especially for the very clear water. It also crosses the fossil bed of the Meduna-Noncello which has marked the plain area with a difference in height of 10 meters and with a silty soil typical of lowland river beds and with minimal slopes. It is advisable to take the route in winter on sunny days.

Palù was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in June 2011. It is one of the oldest inhabited sites in northern Italy. Palù is part of the prehistoric pile dwellings of the Alps and this site was populated since the ancient Palaeolithic (about 4900 BC). A great route for small children with good views, but a bit muddy on some sections.
