B&B Il Mulino

This mountain bike route is a very varied and complete loop at medium altitude. Find all roads and paths in good condition. Unfortunately, some of the trails are not well marked so we recommend downloading the Alltrails map before setting off. Gilba can also be reached passing through Croesio, the sanctuary of the Madonna d'Oriente, just before which you take the dirt road on the left that leads to Sanfront and Frait Genova, from which you reach S. Bernardo again by digging. Dirt road begins...

This route can be done in several stages, definitely very beautiful and tiring with technical passages both uphill and downhill. You can insert different variants such as the climb to Pian Mune and the Tournour crossing to descend to Seree and Oncino.

Balma Boves is an historical protected site located on the southern slope of Monte Bracco in the Po Valley. It's a group of houses built in mid XVIII century and abandoned in 1950. The peculiarity of this site is that the premises lay under a natural ledge, almost a cave, that protects from precipitation and wind. Two main households including the stable, the cellar and the oven. A waterfall and a funneled stream provided the local water supply. The complex was restored and opened to visits...

Monte Bracco is an isolated mountain in the Po Valley and a good hiking and rock climbing site. This track leads to Rifugio Mulatero, a small unmanned mountain cabin which is always open and a convenient spot for a dry packed lunch in case of bad weather. Awesome panorama from this point. The hike is also an occasion to see the "Balma Boves" dwellings.

A wonderful day in the PO valley, the effort of the climb is fully rewarded by the panorama of Monviso.
