Located in the middle of Pajaritos avenue, in the Maipú commune, the Primo de Rivera hill is popularly known as Cerro 15 for its association with the whereabouts of the collective locomotion that circulates along the avenue. Originally it was a small hill that was characterized by having sclerophyllous vegetation and that became one of the scenes of the Battle of Maipú, which occurred on April 5, 1818 and was decisive in obtaining national independence.

The Amapola hill is located in the commune of Pudahuel, to the north and very close to the Lo Aguirre hill. Their closeness and relationship is such that it could be inferred that the Amapola is a smaller extension of the great Lo Aguirre hill, but that it was separated by Route 68. This hill is part of the Laguna Carén Park, corresponding to a property of more than 1,000 hectares, which was donated to the University of Chile on February 28, 1994.
