A pleasant hike with a slight climb to the end, with a great choice of restaurants at the top. The route starts from Vivo d'Orcia and continues along the Torrente Vivo passing the Ermicciolo del Vivo and immediately afterwards continue in an anti-clockwise loop. Follow the Rigale path until you reach Monte Amiata (1738m), where you can admire a beautiful panorama.

The route has some rather challenging parts and the path is not well marked, but the forest and the views are very beautiful. You mainly follow the Rigale path and during the last stretch before the top you follow the Via Crucis.

A ring walk in the great scenery of the shady woods and Brunello vineyards that surround Castelnuovo dell'Abate. The route starts from Castiglione d'Orcia and proceeds in an anti-clockwise loop crossing the Orcia River near Badia Vignoni and then reaches Pienza. From here you continue passing through San Quirico d'Orcia, Poggio Gambocci (330m), Montalcino, Poggio del Tagliatone (567m), Poggio Civitella (662m), Castelnuovo dell'Abate and Campiglio d'Orcia.
