The trail takes you to a hilly landscape with several forested mountain heights. Well-marked trail with a good mix of forest trails and rural roads. The food hill "mountain" is quite steep and rocky but nice. During the first half of the hike there is a beautiful moss-covered valley. The second part is lighter but with a wide view. Follow the orange markings on trees / stones.

You walk mostly on winding nature trails, over steep and moss-covered mountain sides, past rippling streams, through primeval forest, in flat bogs, and along the flowing Hedströmen. Along the trail there are information boards that tell about the area's plant, animal life and history.

Bruksleden offers a varied natural and cultural landscape through Västmanland. It stretches 250 km from Västerås in the south to Avesta and Malingsbo in the north and is divided into 27 stages. The trail is marked with orange on trees and poles. Stage 21 is partly hilly and has a number of steep climbs through deep forests. You pass coniferous forests, Malingsklack and Trollberget. At Örtjärnen there are two campsites with windbreaks. Rest area with windbreak, table, benches and fireplace...

The trail is marked with orange on trees and poles. Stage 22 runs in very varied terrain and offers a very tough hike. Some parts are best suited for the experienced hiker. Along the stage, there are several wind shelters that offer the possibility of overnight stays.
