The trailhead provides access to water sports rental, a launch site, restrooms, outside showers, and a reservable pavilion. The trail is prone to flooding and is not recommended to travel during wet or high tide conditions.

The trail can become muddy during wet conditions and waterproof shoes are recommended. There are many opportunities to observe wildlife along the way.
