Downes Bowl Park offers a lovely trail system with plenty of route variations. This park is a hidden! What looks like a normal trail at the entrance point quickly becomes dense natural vegetation and richly forested. The trail is not entirely flat there are small elevations but very much doable for almost all skill levels. There is a porta-potty and ample parking in the entrance.

This trail passes through farmland and soggy wetland. Along a fairly flat gravel path, it features a few bridges, benches, and a viewing platform with mountain views! It's a nice loop for runners or a casual walk with kids, great for bikes and strollers. It's also popular with migratory birds and wildlife.

This trail is part of a multi-use trail network system around McKee Peak. The trail starts in Highlands right from Bassani Park. Please note that the Ambidextrous Trail loop is popular among mountain bikers. Watch out for mountain bikers on the trails as they can fly by. This trail network system has magnificent geological terrain with everything from caves to waterfalls. The Devon Waterfall is right at the beginning of the trail and is a great sight to see.
