Le Permayou

Here is a soothing stroll close to the village of Accous. Doable all year round with the whole family, this walk around the Poey, a small mountain in the shape of an inverted cone, takes on the appearance of a "Paseo": you come across walkers, works of art, and a bench from which to enjoy the sunset! This tour crosses the streets of Accous, then follows a horizontal path. It then rises in the fern to switch to the east side. The end is on a stony path, remember to close the electric fences!

This original hike is a round trip. It gives a look on the valley of Accous in both directions! You can enjoy the view of the Permayou but also of the Mail d'Eygarry. The path rises on the southern flank of Bergout, but remains protected by the shade of beech and birch trees. He goes down to the banks of the Berthe for a snack by the water. The path crosses the meadows and their barns (bordes). In the past, the harvested hay was stored there for the livestock during the winter.
