Small forest preserve but with nice settings. Lake, high quality woods with wetlands, picnics, shelters, fishing piers. Natural scenery is worth to visit all year round, in spring great wild flowers. During summer nice aquatics plants at lake. And lastly fall with nice colors at wooded sections of trail. Easy directions in town of Addison from Lake Street (US Route 20) north on Wood Dale Rd.

This is part of Salt Creek Greenway near Addison and Villa Park. There are minimal road crossings and it is mostly unpaved; south portion mostly unpaved and north portion of Route US-20 all paved. South of Cricket Creek FP becomes paved with an underpass at North Ave IL-64. Subject to flooding here, you can continue south but must follow the road segment.
