This is a pleasant route that crosses many of the ancient hamlets around Alagna. A beautiful and perfect excursion without any difficulty. Perfect for its variety of offerings: a cool forest, a beautiful waterfall, picturesque mountain villages and wonderful views.

This is a rather demanding walk through beautiful alpine landscapes that reaches the Rifugio Ferrero (2247m) at the foot of the Piode Glacier. The departure is at the Oratory of Santa Maria Maddalena in Merletti in the province of Alagna Valsesia. The route runs along the Sesia river to the Acqua Bianca waterfall and then quickly climbs up to Alpe Fonflua Superiore. From here there are spectacular views. The descent runs alongside the Sesia river again to the starting point of the route.

This is a beautiful excursion to do in the pre-Alps by bike at the foot of the Monte Rosa massif. The departure is in Riva Valdobbia and the journey reaches the Acqua Bianca waterfall that shines with its 30m high. Almost the entire route runs along the Sesia river passing through picturesque mountain villages. Nearby is also the Sesia waterfall, one of the best known waterfalls in Italy.

From the Ferioli hut the trail goes down quickly to Pedemonte, crossing wide meadows until the Alpe Mud and entering the wood. From Pedemonte, it follows the bottom of the valley, passing Alegna Valsesia and then Riva Valdobbia. Going up the Vogna valley, it reaches the small village of Sant'Antonio. This excursion takes place along the Tour Monte Rosa (TMR): a route divided into nine official stages that goes around the Monte Rosa massif in Italy and Switzerland. The TMR passes through the Theodul Pass and the Monte Moro Pass, crossing the Saas Valley. Usually the itinerary starts in Zermatt, Switzerland but the stages can be done by choosing different starting points.
