A pleasant hike that takes you to the impressive castle of Castelnau-de-Bretenoux, in the heart of the barony that reigned over the land of four rivers, the Dordogne, the Cère, the Mamoul and the Bave. This route begins at the magnificent Place des Consuls surrounded by arcaded houses and half-timbered houses, in the center of the medieval village of Bretenoux.

Start this hiking trail in front of the Notre-Dame de Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne church in the Corrèze department. The route taken follows in part the route of the GRP® des Gabariers then that of the GR®480, notably passing through Veyssière then Altillac before crossing the Dordogne again.
