This is a loop around a water reservoir on a wide gravel trail. There are some small hills and inclines along the route. Accessibility: There do not appear to be any designated accessible spaces in the paved parking lot off of Medford Road at the west end of the trail. Oak, hickory, sugar maple, and beech trees dominate the landscape at Scio Woods. The eastern section of the park is home to a wetlands swamp, where pawpaw trees and bladdernut can be found. Scio Woods is also home to a variety of bird species making it a local favorite among birders. Due to its natural beauty and well-maintained trail network, this park is one of the best easy loops in the Ann Arbor area.

Oxford Loop is an even 2-mile loop that is great for sightseeing, trail running, or just a nice nature walk. This hike takes place in the Nichol’s Arboretum which is home to many fun sights. They include (in order): the Centennial Shrubs, overlook of the Main Valley, Riverfront Landing displaying the Huron River, Amphitheater, and finally the Dow Prairie. This trail is rated as Easy.
