The start of this hiking trail in the Regional Natural Park of the Volcanoes of Auvergne is near the Roche waterfall not far from Cheylade in the Cantal department. This route draws a loop that goes around Lac des Cascades and continues through pastures.

Starting from a place called La Buge, this hiking route follows a small country road before finding a dirt road that winds between meadows and forest. The route passes through Le Vernet and continues the ascent through the forest on a path parallel to the ridge. You will descend on a dirt road which will bring you back to the starting point of La Buge.

This hiking loop is for seasoned hikers.
