This Great Country Hike goes around the Bassin d'Arcachon, a real small inland sea subject to the tides, in the Landes department. The route begins in the famous seaside resort of Arcachon, and goes around the basin to the village of Cap-Ferret on the peninsula of Lège-Cap-Ferret. This route can be done on foot or by bike.

This route will allow you to discover the Port de Plaisance. the Plage d'Eyrac and the Plage Thiers d'Arcachon. The trail is separated into two distinct lanes, one for pedestrians and the other for cyclists. There are many other trails and roads to connect in the area for a longer walk.
