This cycling route starting from Argelès-Gazost in the Hautes-Pyrénées, largely runs along the Gave de Pau to the confluence with the Bastan. It crosses, among others, the Gave d'Azun and the Gave de Cauterets. Arrived at Sazos, the route climbs towards Luz Ardiden station. It then descends via Viscos before taking the same route for the return.

Hike from the village of Argelès-Gazost, which takes you on a small climb on the Balandrau trail, which crosses a pretty chestnut grove. Very quickly, the path passes behind the Parc Animalier des Pyrénées, where it is very easy to observe the 3 black wolves in their enclosure, as well as the chamois roaming freely. Continue your road to reach the Balandrau rocks, which are an ideal place to have an overview of the Gaves valley. Back on the main trail, you will soon come to a crossroads....
