The trail begins in Dornach-Arlesheim at the train station and then leads directly to the Birs river. It moves over the Nepomukbrücke bridge and then it follows the Weidenweg path along the water to Münchenstein. Then it continues on at the edge of the forest at the Rütihardhof to Muttenz at the train station. This trail can be a bit muddy after a few bad weather days.
