This park offers a number of well-maintained paths. There is a small pond as well as gravel and concrete paths for kids and families to enjoy. Amenities in the park include water fountains and a bathroom at the center of the park. There is plenty of parking, a very large recreational area, and a frisbee course. The southern area is wooded and the northern area is mostly exposed to the sun.

This is an easy paved trail popular with cyclists, walkers and rollerbladers. There is wildlife along the trail and little shade outside of the park. It connects with River Legacy trails. This is a short trail that features informational signs to educate visitors on the flora and fauna in the area. The trail tends to get crowded during the weekends. and it is best to arrive early. Benches are located along the way for those who want to relax and enjoy the surroundings. There are a variety of birds to observe in the area.

This route leads from River Legacy Park and stops at a viewing spot over the West Fork Trinity River. There is a mix of surfaces along the way with some sections on the pavement while other sections are on more dirt and natural surfaces. There is plenty of shade which is great for escaping the summer heat.

Take this long and well-maintained greenbelt that leads from River Legacy Park to the end of the River Legacy Trail. This route is paved and wide to accommodate all varieties of users from walking, jogging, and biking. There are beautiful viewpoints of the West Fork Trinity River along the way, and plenty of shade to duck under and cool off on a hot summer day.
