The trail starts at the car park of the valley station of the cable car and then continues straight across the terrain. After a few kilometers the trail arrives at the Älplisee lake and then directly to the top of the Hörnligrat ridge. Immediately afterwards the path reaches the top of the Hörnli at 2496 m. As soon as the path descends towards the valley and then passes the Carmennahütte refuge at 2134 m. Shortly after the path returns to the parking lot.

The starting point of this hike is the parking lot of the cable car and you follow the Mittelbünden Panoramaweg cross-country. After a short time you reach the Schwellisee and then the Älplisee. Then it goes on to the Hörnligrat. From there you can shorten the descent into the valley with a ride on the cable car or you can hike down the same way as suggested here.

After about two kilometers you have a view of the Schwellisee and a short time later you will also pass the Älplisee. A fantastic summit hike on the Aroser Rothorn in the Plessur Alps. The path begins in Innerarosa and leads along the Mittelbünden panorama path, steadily uphill, to the beautiful mountain lakes Schwellisee (1930 m) and on to Älplisee (2155 m).
