The Wonder trail was designed and built primarily by the local mountain bike community and is used extensively by mountain bikers. The circuitous switchbacks on the trail, though tempting for hikers to cut, were put in place to facilitate easier climbing on bikes. Mountain bikes must only travel in the uphill direction on the trail. Hikers must be prepared to step off the often steep and narrow trail in order to let bikes pass.
