Beautiful well established trail through the woods around the lake. This trail is very well established and easy to traverse. There are a few small sections that include rocks and roots, but typically it is hard packed dirt or sidewalk. Any streams, water or troublesome areas are easily traversed by way of sturdily built bridges. 1.6 mile trail loop. 2 loops is 5K (3.1 Mi) and 4 loops is 10k (6.2 mi)

A 3-mile loop around Atlanta's largest park. Very family-friendly park and trail. Some hills, but it’s very stroller friendly and dog friendly. Accessibility: There are 6 designated accessible spaces in the large paved parking lot off of West Wieuca Road Northwest at the north end of the trail. All of them are van-accessible with striped access aisles. The trail surface is paved asphalt or concrete (with railings at bridges). It is typically 4 to 6 feet wide (with some wider passing spaces)....

The multi-use greenway runs through the heart of Buckhead. Parking at Sarah Smith Elementary School Intermediate Campus off Wieuca Road NE or Sarah Smith Elementary School off Old Ivy Rd NE is only available during non-school hours. However, parking is also available along Old Ivy Road NE at the north end of the trail and Adina Drive at the south end of the trail. This trail is short and well maintained by the nature preserve. It loops around the creek using two bridges and is very good for small children. Blue Heron Nature Preserve is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to protecting 30 acres in North Buckhead; home of the 3-mile Blueway Trail.
