This is a scenic and easy-to-follow trail that leads visitors around the eastern portion of the preserve. The trail travels to several marsh overlooks that are great for observing the variety of wildlife in this area. There are picnic areas and a kayak landing available at the trailhead. The Z Trail is Hanna Park’s most technical mountain bike trail. The route features tight, twisty turns and roots. It is not suggested for beginner bikers. The trail is rated as moderate to difficult depending on the individual biker’s skill level. Z trail is a 4-mile loop and changes direction daily. Throttle E-bikes are not permitted. Hikers are advised to use the “M” multi-use trail and the 4-mile designated hiking trail.

The trailhead is located to the north of the main parking lot off Wonderwood Drive. E-Line is an easy-to-moderate mountain bike loop. Hiking on this trail is strongly discouraged for safety reasons. Hanna Park offers two designated hiking trails, the 3-mile out-and-back “M” trail and the 4 mi loop hiking trail. E-line as well as South Loop and Z trails change direction daily so please observe the signs! Throttle E-bikes are not permitted on any park trails and dogs must be on a leash at all...

This trail travels through a beautiful salt marsh ecosystem and offers many opportunities to observe wildlife in the area. This route combines the best trails in this preserve and leads to many different marsh observation viewing decks. To the south end of the park, there is a boat launch for those who want to explore the area on water.

Parking for this preserve is located at the end of West 1st Street and Begonia Street. There is plenty of parking spaces available here. This short and scenic hike offers visitors a chance to view Kestner Creek and the Intracoastal Waterway along the boardwalk section. There are portions of this trail that travel through a beautiful forested area where wildlife can be seen.
