The Hitchcock House Nature Trail is an out-and-back grass path that is mowed, and measures about 0.8 miles one way, or 1.5 miles both ways. The starting point is just east of the historic Hitchock House and the trail ends above the Nishnabotna River. The path is fairly level and easy. There are quite a few thorny Honey Locust trees along the trail and a bench near the beginning and one at the end of the trail.
