Popular family-friendly hike in the Gastein Valley The hike begins in Bad Gastein at the train station. From the end point in Bad Hofgastein, a bus can be taken to the starting point. The hike can be hiked in either direction. The hike is accompanied by wonderful views of the Gastein Valley in the Hohe Tauern. The route is signposted.

Varied loop in Salzburg. This beautiful loop begins in Bad Gastein. Here you can arrive by train and start the hike from the train station. Follow the waterfall path and then the promenade along the Gasteiner Ache until you come to the Gastein bathing lake. There you cross the Ache and walk through the Pichlerwald and back to the starting point. If you want, you can end the day in the Felsentherme in Bad Gastein. From Bad Gastein the path leads along Bismarckstraße and Kaiser Willhelm Promenade towards Hoteldorf Güner Baum. These first 50 minutes are a good start to the hike. Along the promenade you get many beautiful views of the front Gastein Valley. Over the bridge of the Kötschachbach it goes uphill again until you reach an asphalt road.

Popular mountain hike in Salzburger Land. There are a number of parking spaces at the valley station of the Graukogelbahn, behind which the hiking trail begins. In the midst of and between magnificent wooded areas, it goes uphill with a very leisurely incline until you reach the mountain station and the Vinzenzkapelle. From there the Zirbenweg leads to the Graukogel. There are rest stops in Bad Gastein. The place can be reached by bus and train.
