This flat and beautiful path goes along the Rhine river in the Swiss canton of Basel. This city is pure pleasure with a lot of culture and this route goes over the Swiss border to France and Saint-Louis and then to Germany in Weil am Rhein and ends again in Switzerland in Basel. Longer almost circular course. Return to Basel by train. The course passes in front of very beautiful views, valleys, waterfalls and castles. However, there are technically very demanding areas. Additionally, it can be very busy with hikers on sunny days and weekends, so drive carefully during rush hour.

This route is particularly suitable for cycling. The tour begins in Basel at the Mittlere Brucke bridge in the old town and slowly leads along the Rhine out of the city centre. At the Canal de Huningue it then leads away from the Rhine and into nature through the cultural landscape. In Rosenau it then meanders along the banks of the Grand Canal d' Alsace and then also drives through the forest Foret demanvale de la Hardt to Colmar. There the train station is the destination.

This route is particularly suitable for bike tours and leads through mysterious landscapes, lonely plateaus and quiet valleys. It leads along small pathways from Basel to the lake Lac Léman.
