This city trail starts at the Church of the Holy Spirit in the Gundeldingen district of Basel and leads to the St. Margareten district. Passing the cemetery and church, it also passes the zoo and then ends up at the shore of the Birsig River. Then the walk continues to the Schützenmatt park where it is possible to relax wonderfully.

This route starts at the main station in Basel and leads out of the city quite quickly. This is the also the first segment of the long distance cycling route Jura Bike. First one drives through the districts of Bruderholz, along agricultural areas, past Reinach and finally into the forest. It then leads further through the Walental valley to the Hofstettenspitz peak at 824m and the Blaue pass before continuing down the Brunneberg via Röschenz to Laufen.
