Novotel Basel City

This city trail starts at the Church of the Holy Spirit in the Gundeldingen district of Basel and leads to the St. Margareten district. Passing the cemetery and church, it also passes the zoo and then ends up at the shore of the Birsig River. Then the walk continues to the Schützenmatt park where it is possible to relax wonderfully.

This route starts at the main station in Basel and leads out of the city quite quickly. This is the also the first segment of the long distance cycling route Jura Bike. First one drives through the districts of Bruderholz, along agricultural areas, past Reinach and finally into the forest. It then leads further through the Walental valley to the Hofstettenspitz peak at 824m and the Blaue pass before continuing down the Brunneberg via Röschenz to Laufen.

This tour starts in Basel at the train station and invites one to explore the fascinating surroundings of Basel by bike. The first few kilometers out of the city lead along paved roads. From Dornach it goes into the forest with good roads. Then the trail passes the Gempenplateau and also takes one or the other hill with you, such as the Eichenberg at 644m.
