This is the third segment of the Rhine Cycle Path and runs from Basel in Switzerland to Karlsruhe in Germany. Coming from the Swiss border, the Rhine forms the border river between France and Germany. The Rhine Cycle Path follows both banks along nature reserves and hydroelectric power stations, picturesque villages, and Strasbourg before reaching the German city of Karlsruhe.

This route is particularly suitable for cycling. The tour begins in Basel at the Mittlere Brucke bridge in the old town and slowly leads along the Rhine out of the city centre. At the Canal de Huningue it then leads away from the Rhine and into nature through the cultural landscape. In Rosenau it then meanders along the banks of the Grand Canal d' Alsace and then also drives through the forest Foret demanvale de la Hardt to Colmar. There the train station is the destination.
