Start in the town of Adelaide River and follow the Stuart Highway 1 north, where you'll pass Heaton Hill, Mount Deane (151m), and alongside Manton Dam Recreation Area. Turn left at the town of Livingstone onto Cox Peninsula Road toward the Territory Wildlife Park/Berry Springs Nature Park. Take a stop to explore the park before proceeding back onto the Stuart Highway 1 northward to Darwin.

A long loop, best done on a mountain bike, near Tumbling Waters. The area is important to the Larrakia, Limilngan, Wulna, Warray and Koongurrukun peoples. This loop north of the Manton Dam and Darwin River Dam is best suited for capable mountain bikers. The route is easy to navigate, there are a few sections where you will have to hop off and walk with the bike. There is no water between each dam so be sure to carry enough with you. Be aware there is limited phone reception in the area....
