This trail is partially boardwalk or packed gravel and sand. This is a great family-friendly trail with plenty of wildlife to see. Accessibility: There are at least 3 designated accessible spaces in the large paved parking lot off of State Park Drive at the south end of the trail. At least 2 of them are van-accessible with striped access aisles. This entire route is nicely paved and flat. In the winter, parts of it are plowed and salted by the city so that it can be used year-round. There is not a lot of shade so make sure to bring water and sunscreen.
